This special edition model was designed and sold solely by Buffalo Bros, and only 10 were made. Bob Page and Tim Page (of Buffalo Bros.) designed the ASAT '50 with the help of G&L. Tim says, "The guitar featured a lightweight ash body in the see-thru Butterscotch Blonde premiere finish, a black pickguard with a single G&L MFD Classic pickup at the bridge (wired to a 3-way switch with capacitors for tonal differences). One volume and one tone knob. 7.5" radius neck, with vintage Dunlop 6230 frets. Birdseye maple neck with a polished glossy lacquer over a hand rubbed gun oil tint. Vintage style round string tree. Custom ordered Tweed hardcase. Neck plate engraved 'Special G&L Edition.'" |
