SC-2 pickups

SC-2 pickups

Just got a new SC-2 and noticed that when switched from the neck or middle position to the bridge position the volume really goes up. Is this normal for these pickups? New to the G & L World. Thanks.

Yes, the bridge pickup is wound with extra turns. My SC-2 (Belair Green) measures at 5.0k for the neck pickup and 6.75k for the bridge pickup.
