I still have my Rockman, 1st version from early 80's, still works. I think it took a bunch of AA's, but I have an ac adapter. I used to run a stereo 1/8 inch plug out of the headphone jack which split to two 1/4 inch jacks, plugged into channel 1 and channel 2 of my 70's twin reverb. Sounded pretty nice at the time.

They called the AC the "battery eliminator" IIRC.
The Chorus setting was a good one, I better not think about it. I'm still on a Ibanez TS-9/808 kick.
