ASAT Classic in Butterscotch Blonde over Empress

Check out this ASAT Classic in Butterscotch Blonde over Empress, 1-ply black guard,
maple neck with Vintage Tint Gloss neck finish. Serial number CLF072111. This ASAT is very light, just 6.6 lbs.
We just finished building it and now it's available for G&L dealers.

We scored a little stash of killer 2-piece Empress and we're building some instruments we're interested to see made out of this wood.
Judging by this ASAT, Butterscotch Blonde can well over the right piece of Empress.

Wow, no comments? I think it is a sharp looking guitar. Love the weight. And it looks... well... classic! Nice.

I think it looks great. I have a custom build t-style guitar in "empress" that is one of my favorites. It plays and sounds great, and weighs in at 5.8 lbs. I would imagine an empress-bodied G&L would be at least as good.

Wanna see?

I would like to see a clear gloss with this wood. I especially like the weight. I am not worried about the tone as I know it will sound fine. -- Darwin

I don't know if you saw this one: Legacy in Honeyburst over Empress ....
You can see the wood grain, and get a better idea what a clear gloss might be like.

Thanks Craig, I missed that one. I do like it and the wood grain reminds me of swamp ash but at a much more attractive weight. Maybe this is what I might like! -- Darwin
