Can someone clarify if current G&L USA models use a nitro cell or poly finish? Thanks!

The answer is yes to both!

In 2009, G&L introduced the Rustic models (guitars and basses) which have finishes in Nitrocellulose Lacquer.
All the other G&L instrument models have the poly finish.

Check out the various G&L instruments at glguitars.com.
