Mmmmmm..... donuts!
We do a bit of deep frying at home, and it's surprising at how much of the oil is actually left in the pan when you're done - we fried up a batch of Zucchini fritters last week and after cooking enough for about 6 people and putting the oil back into the container it came out of we only lost about a shot glass full, and a good portion of that would have been absorbed by the draining paper. But of course, fried dough covered in sugar will never actually be healthy, perhaps just not quite as fatty as I thought! That's not going to stop me eating them
