I am not torn over this in the slightest. The man obviously loved his guitar and although he can't bring it with him, his wishes should be respected. We can do with our property whatever we will.

The worst of it is that the family had to endure this deep violation in addition to the loss of a family member. Too bad it could not have been restored discreetly. The cemetery worker confessed and was caught with the guitar on his property. The right thing for this guy to do is plead guilty and quietly go to jail with a stiff sentence, (more than one pun intended).

I don't approve of burying stuff, especially instruments. Why stop at his guitar? Why not bury his house too? Or his dog?
