That's pretty cool. You gotta be a good player to strap that one on.

Sunset coral with andromeda!?! Great color and mix, I never thought of andromeda with anything other than black.

Another BIG kudos to the Custom team. What’s next? :searching:

While I am always glad to see more V12's in different colours.........maybe it looks better in person. Andromeda seems way too busy now. Katalox ? Ebony must be getting really expensive.

Associations are a funny thing.

Here is Jimmy Page playing his Danelectro in 1971 whilst wearing his iconic "Dragon" outfit.

18 year old me thought this outfit was pretty freaking cool. Late 50's me? Still thinks it's pretty freaking cool.

I'd love a black guitar with Dragons on it - not unlike Jimmy Page's outfit.

That thing about associations tho..

I used Katalox because 1) we had a sample board on hand that had been laying around for a couple of years in our wood room from LMI, and 2) because I thought the color of it looked great when matched with the neck wood and the body. Ebony has literally nothing to do with it. We have plenty of Ebony laying around too, and it's a great fingerboard wood, but so is Katalox. Just because it hasn't been used much since the 70's and 80's doesn't mean it isn't a good option. It's exceptionally dense and holds frets well, which are the only two things that really matter when it comes to selecting a fretboard wood.

The finish may not be for everyone, and there's nothing wrong with that. This particular finish was an experiment by our painter to try something interesting, which we will frequently do in Custom Shop on our inventory builds. This particular idea sounded fun, and looks great in the sunlight.

Pink guitars are cool. Sorry if you disagree.

I've always wanted a sunset coral guitar.
I fell in love with this Pink Andromeda the moment i saw it. Seriously, this is just spectacular.
It looks like the back seat of a '57 Caddy!

My next new G&L will be this exact color scheme, just in time for Christmas. :D
