Can't wait for the Modern Film Fest.
First weekend in October. $40 for a weekend pass is a heckuva bargain.
Being held at the historic Gem Theatre, a 900 seat, single screen theatre.
Great line up of films.
"Pushing Up Daisies" with GA. zombies, Drive by Truckers, and Red Dirt Rising

That looks like a lot of fun, Jamie.

Bassman,
This is the Film Fest's second year.
"Paddle to Seattle" had great scenery, and the guys were a hoot.
The Drive By Truckers bio film was excellent.
"Opus Jazz" had the NYC Ballet in various locations 'round NYC.
Fantastic jazz music played throughout the film.
Give anything to be young and flexible again. Haw!
What I found interesting about the "film" fest was all were on DVD, played on a PC through a heckuva video projector.
Talked to my out of town serious film aficionados on the cell phone between features.
They were in shock about the low prices per film; $4.
They said major cities charge approx $10 per film at film fests.
I bought a weekend pass for $40, and got my monies worth.
