I like how the burst plays over the textured pattern that was painted on. I think I prefer a burst over a pattern over a pattern with just a stain or plain pattern. It has enough randomness to look like figured wood at first blush. Great effect, and good color choices. I'm not typically a fan of patterns, but I could get behind this one since it is set off so nicely by the burst.

Cool effect and color combo.
However, it may need to see the dentist.
That's a lot of cavity...

I like that finish. Now I may have to get another G&L.

I like this, it reminds me of the old swirl finish. Would like the pattern to bleed out a little more.
Please show some other color combos when they are ready.

Here's the second of two matching Sapphire Marble instruments coming out of the shop in the next few days. I'll show more as they near completion.

I dunno. Not a fan of this. it looks like a hot mess, like someone took a scouring pad to the finish while it was still wet.

Kind of looks like a bowling ball to me. Nice work, but not a fan.

Reminds me of the 'bowling ball' finishes G&L had for a while in the mid-'90s.

Id also like to see it in a single colour rather than a burst. Bowling ball is back!

Sitting in the case like that, it almost looks like the marbling could be the reflection of the case lining. I don't think I would like it without the burst.
