Thanx for all the great pix of the guitar show, John. When I look at them I always see guitars in the background and ask myself, "why didn't you check THAT one out, Will?"

I don't know how you wood-fixers do it....you, Rick Felkel, all of them. It's amazing work. I see you found Rick on FB...he just posted some pics of another thought-to-be-hopeless-but-turned-out-fantastic wood-fixing job.Woodfixer wrote:Chris great pic with the horses. Rick did a fine job. Look up the s/n B019400 in the G&L Registry.
Rare Bird Interceptor Bass Pics
The Interceptor is my GAS model. Missed one at Spartanburg several years ago.
The El Toro, same 'lectronics, come up for sale quite often.

I'm going to have to stick with my stock photo for now, I haven't put forth the effort to take any new photos in a while.
Out of all my guitars, this one is still one of my favorites! My ASAT Jr. #145

Well, here's the G&L that I've been playing the last couple of days. I had surgery on the back of my shoulder and wanted the lightest electric to rest on my thigh. My '99 ASAT Classic SH fit the bill nicely. It also has a great sound for my style of playing/music. Not too bad looking either.

Re: Lunch Report Friday 3/5/10
Great week, MrFXR,
Sorry I cannot post anything NEW with Photobucket right now for some reason - or else I would have posted those CP Thorntons yesterday and said that even though they cost in the range of a PRS or Custom Shop Gibson or Fender, they just suit me far more.... for a host of unjustifyable reasons. Yep, they are better constructed and play better to me; but they certainly do not look or play 3 times better than a used G&L. No other reason, I just like 'em better than anything else I've ever played or owned, including some that cost a heckuva lot more. I've never been very concerned with the cost of a guitar - if I wanted it, I found a way to get it.
Pics of some of my fave G&L's.... you bet. No problem there, because they were already on Photobucket. Here are a couple of my fave pics of fave G&Ls.
'86 Blonde ASAT

Enjoyed the week. Sorry about the upload problems I'm having. Like the new website.

Ah - a keen eye you have. It's a late 50's Dano Convertible w/o the PU & electronics. I plan on putting in probably a Seymour Duncan lipstick PU and restoring it. It needs work, but all of it is stuff I can do. I just love those guitars for some reason.

Great job this week, John! Sorry I missed much of the week, but it's nice that I can catch up with all that's been going on.
I posted this image in another thread a few days ago, but this is my current arsenal of G&Ls.
About high-end guitars, the Bourgeois Signature D is my favorite acoustic:
And my most recent acquisition is a Ron Kirn Tele-style guitar:
Finally, let's not forget the Olympics and how great they were. The hockey game last Sunday was especially fun to watch. I also enjoyed Team Bublinga's "Ice Dancing" performance:
Have a great weekend, all!

Great week, or should I say great FIRST G&L Discussion Page week!
True fun John. This one below needs to be in G&L picture week fer sure. My G&L parts JD with most all work done or provided by GLDP members (Woodfixer (you!), Burnt999 and Thumbs)and now my #1 electric.
Must get a better picture to show this thing off.

Nice job this week. Sorry I missed a few days but I've been working like mad - with more of the same coming up for the rest of the month.
This is the last remaining G&L I own. My son still has his bass, and he really likes it.

I've been pretty tender with her so I haven't had a real need for the fine tuners, zapcosongs wrote:Cool guitar, Elwood.

they work well though and maybe someday I'll be on stage and happy to have that option.
That'll be sweet, be sure to take some with both the blackie ASAT and the L1K. A nice pair fer sure.zapcosongs wrote: BTW: Black IS beautiful (one day I'm gonna take some real pix of my '91 L1K. Schweet!
