New to the forum

Well I guess that I qualify as an enthusiast. Obsessive? Who knows.
My name is James Schultz. I am the owner of The Guitar Store in Seattle.
I opened the store a year ago and knew that I would have the goal of really helping to build the G&L reach.
My personal collection consists of many guitars but, my go to is a butterscotch ASAT Classic with a gun oil 1C maple neck.
Other G&L I have at home are a Phyllis, a 2011 ASAT Korina JR, an older L2500 and I just stole an ASAT SPC Flat Top with a 1D Rosewood neck.
I am sure I will be on here more as my like for G&L has just recently become something more and my 80's MIJ fetish is subsiding.

My next personal build is going to be a ASAT SPC flat top with a mahogany body Tobacco Burst -wood bound body and a quarter sawn "2" neck -rosewood with matching headstock. If I can talk Steve in to letting me send them a couple of Wolfetone P90's to throw in I would be really stoked.

Welcome, James!

We all love to see some G&L porn, so please do share some photos of your personal G&L collection and also add them to our G&L Registry.
How do the Wolfetone P90's compare to the Korina ASAT JR Il's G&L P90s?

We have a photo session on Thursday night so either Trey or I will get some porn up soon.
As for the Wolfetone question. I need to throw in a disclaimer that Wolfe lives just down the street from me so I am local bias. His Mean/Meaner p90 combo is exactly what I want in a cow punk set up. Raw in the bridge and deep in the neck. The focus on this one is to not live in subtle dynamics. I found the Korina JR. to be a bit lacking for that purpose though it was a good sound.

HI James:

Welcome.

I just ordered a set of Wolfetone Marshallheads for my Heritage 150. They came in on saturday and the guitar is going to the luthier tomorrow for new caps, pots and the wolfetones. Its a lefty so its going to get lefty centric pots.

I must say that Wolfe was amazing to deal with and when I ordered, he called me personally to chat about pups for 1/2 hour. He also said that my neck pickup was really hot and if I wanted it rewound or to get a different kind, it would be no issue.

Wonderful service, can't wait to get her back.

I hear his P90s are amazing as well!
