Hey hey

Hey everyone,

Just picked up my first G&L. I don't really know a much about them and I came across this forum while looking for information. It certainly seems like a cool community. Looking forward to learning more about the brand that has formed such a dedicated following.

If I can figure out how to attach photos would people here be able to help me identify some of the spec's of my new to me Legacy?

Hopefully these work. I know it's an American made legacy sometime between 2011-16. Bird's eye maple fretboard and what looks like a maple cap on the body. I cant really tell what colour it is because I'm colour blind. love the shape and feel of the neck. I kind of want to put it back to original, I'm not a fan of the dimarzio in the bridge.

Can anyone fill in the blanks for me?

Hi Muters, nice Legacy! welcome
Guitars with that serial number range were from 2011.
Looks like Cherry burst over bookmatched maple top, over likely swamp ash.
Birdseye maple neck. Pretty guitar. Perhaps the neck and middle pups are G&L CLF-100 alnico single coils.

There should be a Specifications Sheet with the COA in a black G&L envelope in the case.
Find that and you will get the complete specs on the guitar as built. It will also include the completion date.
That bridge pickup is not stock.

Hope this helps.

I'm a fan of the pups in the neck and bridge. This is the first guitar I've owned with all single coils. I've only ever previously owned guitars with humbuckers. There's something about this guitar, I can't seem to put it down.

Here's it next to the other love in my life.

Hey Muters , Welcome to the Forum ! Just a small piece of advice to help you post your pics ( If you want them to show in your posts ):

I noticed your images are on imgur , so all you need to do is copy and paste the BBcode from each of your pics

OR
When you first start a new post, Check the lower left corner to make sure BBCode is ON

At the top under your header Click on Img , which will then show you 2 image parcers [ ][ ] ( img ...... /img)

Paste your link between the 2 as such [img]your%20http%20link%20goes%20here[/img] ( just an example, the %20's wont show )

After submitting the post your pics should show up in the post....you can always preview the post to be sure your pics are there before submitting it
Hope this helps

** You can obtain replacement COA and Custom build Spec Sheets for your Legacy from the online store https://g-l-online-store.myshopify.com/ ... rtificates , They will only replace COA's or build sheets for guitars made since Feb 4, 2011. If you are unsure of your guitar's production date and info, just email them your serial number to see if your guitar qualifies for replacement information sheets and certificates. **
