Will, I don't look at it as spam. If I quote something from a book, I usually put down what book it was and page number. Is that considered advertising?
When I do a project, I tell you where I got it and the name. How else am I to give them credit? It would only be spam if I sent it to your email address.
Never heard of getting a virus or having CC info stolen by posting a URL.

He's not referring to anything you posted as spam--the reference is to the hundreds of advertising posts on the forum starting sometime last night.
I have always wondered the same thing--what is the purpose of these posts? I can't believe they have any positive effect to garner sales for the products. Other that being a pain in the ass, I don't get it.
