Blue Chip Picks

An article on "Blue Chip Picks" was in my favorite music mag that arrived in the mail today.

Matthew Goins is a machinist by trade.
He got involved with pick making by observing another employee polishing a "natural material" pick.

His picks have been reviewed by Vintage Guitar, Downbeat, and Bluegrass Unlimited.

Garners rave reviews by pro players.

I saw the review on "Blue Chip Picks" in Vintage Gtr Mag in a back issue.

This 2008 review is posted on the "Picks" website.

Recent "Blue Grass Unlimited" has an article on the manufacturer of the picks.
This is their annual Instrument edition.

Had a subscription to "No Depression".
The mag discontinued the print version, and went online.

Years back had subs to Gtr World "Country" and "Frets" mags.

Considering we don't blink spending substantial sums on guitars, amps, and tuners, etc.

I find it interesting we use a 25 cent plastic pick in our quest for tone.

I hear you here, but in my experience there's about a 4 million percent increase in the likelihood that I'll lose a pick over one of these other items. I have lost a fair share of cables, pedals and the like, but never a guitar or an amp.
