ASAT Classic Custom update

Post by twangster2 »

So I am 8 weeks into my wait.

I was told 12 weeks by my dealer.

Now I am hearing on this site, the factory is backed up by 6 months.

Can this be confermend or debunked?

RE: Forum rules
Retail Prices: In keeping with G&L's own policy regarding publication of retail prices, please do NOT post actual sale prices of new G&L/BBE instruments and products on this site. Example 1: "I found a new ASAT for $699 - is this a good price?" Example 2: "How much did the '99 GbL_LE actually sell for?" Such posts will be deleted or modified by the Admin. Posting prices on used instruments, however, is fine.

Who said that? I would keep in contact with your dealer and get periodic updates from them.

Christ! Are they OK in there? Or should we be worrying for the future?
Hopefully, they're just super-busy.

i don't know if this information is accurate. i am simply repeating what the dealer told me. i was hoping craig would address it in another thread where i brought it up (and i am guessing the op saw the comment), but he has not.

I emailed Steve and am awaiting his reply. It will likely not come until next week.

Stay tuned.

Here's Steve's reply:
Craig,

The average lead-time for a new order is currently about 8 weeks, but it can vary from model to model based on availability of certain parts or raw material.
I suggest the customer ask his dealer to contact the G&L Sales Dept. and they can provide a more accurate update of the status of this specific order.

Thanks

Steve Grom
Hope this helps.
