Nothin' too fancy here: just my new NOS '05 S500 (my only guitar at this point, though I've had lots):

That S500 is a real looker. It's such a classic finish, and you wear it well, Standards Guy!

Thanks!
Yeah I think it's "Ivory."

I've always liked maple necks. This one is pretty narrow in the neck, but I got used to it within a few minutes.

Sounds great too!

It's likely Vintage White. Ivory is new this year and only available on the Jerry Cantrell Signature Rampage.

Thanks for the porn! It sure does look great

Thanks for the correction.
I probably got on the factory page and couldn't find any other white offered, so that's where "ivory" came from.

Over the years I've been attracted to the white strat style (probably a Jimi Hendrix subconscious thing, even though he seemed to prefer rosewood boards more), and stayed away from white necks. But heavy tints on maple looks weird to me usually against white bodies, especially with white pickguards.

Lately I've gotten completely confused over "mint" green, off-white, "vintage," etc etc.

I didn't really consider the color when I was trying it out in the store. I just wanted it to sound right, and the color wasn'r glaringly putrid or anything: so I swapped a bit of money plus some partsocaster projects and ground 'em down (it had been hanging there since about '07) until I could finally bring it home.

I do like its looks now that I've stopped playing it long enough to clean the shop grunge off of it, set it up, etc.

Thanks!
