Definitely home made. Someone probably had an L-2000, maybe something really bad happened
to it so it got parted out.

Where did you get those pics? I didn't take those.
I had received some pictures in email earlier today, that turned out to be from someone else. I had forwarded
them to Dave McLaren to see if he had any info on this bass.
