5-way switch on ASAT Special?

HI,

I have a (tribute) ASAT Special with the large MFD pickups, ash body, and the usual 3-way tele switch with master tone and volume controls.

I'd really like to add some additional switching options so I can have both pickups in series, and also an out-of-phase option [in series, preferably, for less volume drop] as those are tones I've liked on other guitars. I have no desire to change the basic tones on the standard bridge, bridge and neck in parallel, and neck only options, just add new tones.

Now I gather this can be done using a 5-way superswitch, but wondered if there were any issues doing this mod with MFDs? Is there anything to be aware of?
