Neck and Body Finishes

Hey People,
I'm about to spring for an ASAT Classic Tele. After years on my Strat, Les Paul, and Silhouette, I'm so amped up to play a Tele through my Boogie!
Got a couple of basic questions, if anyone's got a moment. Would like to put in my order soon, but am wondering:
1) The picture of the clear orange one, online, has a satin finish neck. It's beautiful. I'm wondering what it would look like with a gloss and/or tinted gloss finish? Anyone got a picture?
2) I saw a video of an ASAT Classic with a solid butterscotch finish (not the Rustic model). Can you order different colors for the ASAT Classic model?
Actually...I'm sure they can tell me that over the phone, but figured I'd just throw that one out thar...
Cheers,
Bob

Well, mine is Butterscotch (see next question) so I can't help you with one having your color combination. It has the TGN but 'old' style, i.e. with the 'uneven' hand application. All I know is that the first G&L I ever played was an Orange ASAT with gun-oil neck and it just looks fantastic. It give the guitar a kind of aged look all by itself.

The Tribute series ASAT Classic comes in 3 color variations. But the USA models you certainly can order in any of the colors listed on the site including Butterscotch Blonde. Some have a default body wood associated with them but even there you can custom order.

That's funny. I was looking through the pix on the "G&L Porn" thread and saw your shots. Hoped you'd respond. Some collection there. Thanks for the reply.

Now I've got lots to choose from, which is a good and bad thing. Mostly good...but bad 'cuz I'll take a bit more time ordering, trying to figure out what I want.

The orange is sweet, the butterscotch is classic and beautiful, and the sunbursts are all awesome. I shall roll this on my audio tongue and look forward to posting pix of my new baby when she arrives.

Thanks!

Clear Orange is definitely a good choice. It seems like they keep the best looking wood for that particular colour. Every picture you see they look great.

I wouldn't go for the gun oil tint, it might be a bit too yellow on an orange guitar.

Wish I could have 'em all...but that ain't happenin' in the near future.

So, I'm leaning heavily towards the butterscotch with the black pickguard. It's a very different look from any of my other axes and so classy. Question of neck finishes, now. I love the gunmetal...but I also like the contrast of the satin or clear lacquer against the butterscotch. Looking at pix.

Nice to have great options...I'm glad I saved my gig money. That's what's funding this....every night I came home and put the $$$ into a shoebox. Wasn't much...but it's built up nicely and now it's time to recycle it back into music.
