1st time G&L owner-ASAT Z-3...help with serial number

I've been playing for 25 years and just got my first G&L, an ASAT Z-3 in blueburst....can you guys help me decipher the serial number or point me in the direction where I can please? Thanks

you can look through the registry for similar ones to try and pinpoint a date, otherwise I think there is no method to the madness.

That's pretty much what I'm figuring out. The number starts with CL which from what I can find says between late 97 to 98 then the switch to CLF.....was just wondering how to decipher number shipped in blueburst and how many total were built.

It could be a production run, or a custom order, but not a limited run if it is just a Z-3, so how many were built is likely not included.

Exact dates should be under the neck (in the pocket) or somesuch.
