The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

blues boy differences...........

Post by fredddyj »

o.k i get the difference in solid vs. semi hollow, vs semi hollow f hole. mechanically, and structurally. thats easy. my problem is the difference in tone/sound from each. i play an asat custom, with a fat neck single coil. for me personally its sound is like nothing i've ever played, maybe the bluesboy, would be just a little more?( damn tone monkey, is on my back!) there are none to play in the detroit area, to make comparison's. youtube is limited. any help, or suggestion's would be greatly appreciated. would like the bb to be my next GAS relief fix. thanks

I will just cut to the chase: just get a Bluesboy! You won't be disappointed and I don't think it really matters whether you pick a US built or Tribby version. I have 3 US built myself, and every single one of them is a wonderful tone-monster. Time to add some guitar porn:

Tim,

Reread the email. Toward the bottom of the email should be the message that was sent to you.

You can also go to the User Control Panel and click on the Private Messages and then the Inbox link.
You should see all your email messages sent to you via the G&LDP.

Hope this helps.
