New Doheny arrived
I haven't posted in quite awhile but I do check in now and then. I had been playing a 2013 JM with Stonewall pups and stumbled on the new Doheny. Ordered and got it Thursday 2/15 and very happy. I'm more of a saddle lock player so that's what I opted for. Really impressed with the versatility of the new MFDs. Their interaction with the PTB system let me fine tune through a variety of amps. Plays well with pedals and the 9.5 neck is really comfortable. Haven't had the ground problem mentioned in other posts but will probably open it up in the near future to look, add shielding if needed and just have the pleasure of checking out the design. Definitely urge anyone to look at this model and especially since I'm getting a little older the easy weight range on some of the Dohenys is a plus.

But it does not exist without photos. Thanks for adding it to our G&L Registry. I see you got one of the Special Build versions with an Empress body. How light is it?

Re: New Doheny arrived
Congrats, I've been curious to read more owner reviews. I haven't really noticed many threads about them around here. What color and neck configuration did you opt for?

Re: New Doheny arrived
Couldn't opt for anything as I bought from a dealer but it had the vibe I was looking for.

Since this forum doesn't support posting images from photobucket, I copied the image of your Doheny here: Looks great!

Re: New Doheny arrived
FYI, my Doheny does have a 12" fingerboard radius. Although I would have liked a #4 neck, I could only get a Modern Classic, a choice limited by the headstock shape. So I don't know whether they made an exception for me, but again, my Doheny does have the 12" board. - Jos

As noted in my previous post, that the radius option changed for the Doheny models with the current price list.
