I recently purchased a new (unused) 2013 Tribute ASAT Classic from a local guitar shop. Mine has a nice looking butterscotch body with the tinted gloss neck. The neck on my guitar is much thinner than other necks I've seen on the same model. There is also a somewhat larger than normal gap in the neck pocket as well. The shop has a 2015 ASAT classic in the tobacco sunburst finish and the neck on it is noticeably thicker. I've also seen an older Korean made ASAT classic that has a thicker neck. I'm really enjoying the guitar. I thought I would get used to the thin neck but haven't yet.
The other difference I noticed was the weight. The 2015 tobacco asat is significantly heavier than the 2013 butterscotch asat. I think they both have swamp ash bodies. Does anyone have any info on this?
