The G&L Factory does an annual maintenance shutdown in August and I believe it is August 2nd-14th, this year.

Do you have any additional details on this? Sounds like the whole place shuts down for a while to do maintenance on the various tools and machines. Is this correct?

I also assume no guitars will be worked on during this time.

No other details, but I have emailed Dave to get the actual shutdown days for this year.
Yes, the focus is strictly on maintenance during that time frame.

i heard back from Dave today:

Hi Craig,

The factory production resumes on the 17th. There is still staff here and the online store continues unaffected by the factory vacation.
