I recently found two new Tributes on glguitars.com:
ASAT HB
Legacy HB
Except for the colours, they look pretty cool but there's no correspondig model made in USA.

Nice!....I think that's a smart move of G&L's part.
Dual buckers and Floyd Rose trem, should be a hit with the hard rock/metal crowd. Don't know about that green on the "S" shaped one though. If it were black that'd be a sharp guitar!

I like that ASAT HB but would like it even more if they offered it with a saddle lock bridge.

These are definitely for the heavy vibe, and the necks are shallow and fast like the Jerry Cantrell Rampage.
We're letting the T/S grow where we can deliver killer quality and value, and that make sense for G&L. There were many serious rock tools in the '80s, and we're getting back in touch with those roots. As many of you know, we sort of lost touch with that in the '90s and '00s.
I'm looking forward to getting one of those Legacy HBs.

For getting GAS down, I picked up my Ibanez RG470 yesterday and it still perfectly plays smooth and fast and is perfect for hi-gain, but is far away from the rich and edgy clean sounds which my "good" guitars are delivering. And for it's built very similar to that tributes (basswood body, Floyd Rose, HSH), I'd expect similar sounding too.
Don't get me wrong, that "Modern Strat" has a good clean sound, but I'm just missing that extra portion of sound, but of course I don't know how that Tributes are sounding.
