Unless noted in the model listing, the following standard specifications are shared among models in this price list.

Single Coil Mode (SCM) for L-2000, L-2500 and ASAT basses. 2-way Series/Parallel switch is replaced with 3-way Series/Split/Parallel switch.
Pickups are specially made with individual coil leads to accommodate this option.

GUITAR AND BASS NECK RADIUS

Substitute neck radius from standard:

7 1⁄2” This is close to the vintage 7 1⁄4” radius of the ‘50s and ‘60s, and feels
virtually the same yet allows guitarists just a bit more note bending before
a note will “choke” or “fret out”.

9 1⁄2” A nice mid-way point between the vintage radius and a modern 12” radius.
Standard on most guitar models.

12” Flatter for deep string bends and greater ease when soloing.


BASS NECK PROFILES

Substitute neck profile from standard:

1 5/8” Medium C - 1 5/8” nut width sits right between the traditional P and J bass widths, and Leo offered this nut width in the ‘80s.
Generous edge roll with a medium depth and taper from 0.820” at 1st fret to 0.940” at 12th fret. These specs were part of the #11 and #12 necks.

1 1⁄2” Medium C - 1 1⁄2” nut width traditional to a J bass, Leo brought it with him to Fender Avenue for the ASAT Bass and SB-2. 1 1/2” nut width,
generous edge roll, and medium taper from 0.820” at 1st fret to 0.920” at 12th fret. These specs were part of the #6 and #8 necks.

1 3⁄4” Medium C - 1 3⁄4” nut width traditional to a P bass, Leo brought it with him to Fender Avenue for the L-2000 and other models.
1 3/4” nut width, generous edge roll, medium taper from 0.820” at 1st fret to 0.940” at 12th fret. These specs were part of the #5 and #7 necks.

1 3⁄4” Medium C 5 - 1 3⁄4” nut width, generous edge roll, medium taper from 0.820” at 1st fret to 0.940” at 12th fret. Starts out just like the
4-string 1 3⁄4” medium C and fans out to a wider heel. These specs were part of the #10 neck. Not available on JB-5.

Modern C 5 - Exclusive to the JB-5 and Kiloton-5: 1.75” nut width, generous edge roll, mild taper from 0.810” at 1st fret to 0.910” at 12th fret.

GUITAR NECK PROFILES

Substitute neck profile from standard:

Modern Classic - 1 11/16” nut width with 1 5/8” string spacing allows a generous edge roll for superb comfort without string fall-off.
Fairly slim with mild taper from 0.820” at 1st fret to 0.870” at the 12th fret.

Slim C - 1 5/8” nut width, slight edge roll, mild taper from 0.820” to 0.870”. These specs were part of the #1a neck.

Classic C - This is the profile most G&L fans associate with the post 2000 era. 1 5/8” nut width, slight edge roll, medium taper from 0.830” to 0.960”.
It starts off fairly slim and gets beefier up the neck. These specs were part of the #1 neck.

Classic Plus C - Just 1/16” wider than the Classic C with added string spacing. A good choice for players with big hands who find 1 5/8” a little too narrow.
1 11/16” nut width, slight edge roll, medium taper from 0.830” to 0.960”. It starts off fairly slim and gets beefier up the neck. These specs were part of the #3 neck.

Classic Wide C - A full 1/8” wider than the Classic C Plus with added string spacing. The extra width is welcome not just for players with big hands,
but those who value more string spacing. 1 3/4” nut width, slight edge roll, medium taper from 0.830” to 0.960”. It starts off fairly slim and gets beefier up the neck.
These specs were part of the #4 neck.

Heritage ‘86 - Faithful to the early G&L years with a 1 5/8” nut width, slight edge roll, and medium taper from 0.790” at 1st fret to a 0.910” at 12th fret.
These specs were part of the #1b neck.

Modern U - Fans of Leo’s early U-shape necks often want a chunk down low but not too much at the top. While some of those early U-shape necks were
extremely thick, the Modern U offers a bit more chunk but not too much. 1 5/8” nut width, slight edge roll, mild taper from 0.850” at the 1st fret to 0.910” at the 12th fret.
These specs were part of the #1c neck.

Soft V - A gentle V-shape is heaven for some players, and this is one will delight. Mild V-shape down low which fades to almost C-shape up top.
1 5/8” nut width, slight edge roll, mild taper from 0.830” at the 1st fret to 0.960” at the 12th fret. These specs were part of the #2a neck.

Deep V - A more aggressive V-shape for those who can’t get enough V. Pronounced V-shape down low which fades to moderate V-shape up top.
1 5/8” nut width, slight edge roll, mild taper from 0.890” at the 1st fret to 0.930” at the 12th fret. These specs were part of the #1d neck.

NECK WOODS AND FRETLESS BASS FINGERBOARDS

Quartersawn maple neck This method of cutting the maple boards results in the endgrain being directed about 45° to 90° from the face of the fingerboard.
This cut results in a more stable neck and is recommended for players who tour as it better withstands substantial changes in temperature and humidity.
