LEGACY DLX Trem springs-->Increase strings from 9-->10

Tue Oct 25, 2011 9:55 am

Dear All

I searched here-found not so much-maybe not the greatest operator of the search function

I bought a 2005 Legacy Deluxe recently ,is in shipping from US to Europe,Its equipped with 9's and I willl move to 10-46.

On the trem side what do I have to do-->same like my Fender Strats just to turn the spring holder screws a bit in?

Any advice would be fine

Yes, that is exactly what to do. Just like a Strat!-- Darwin

Dear Darwin

Thanks

I have too many guitars allready(I have not the WILDEST idea how you explain your collection to your wife*) but as the other G&L's are different to a Strat(Comanche) and/or high gainers(Invader) I needed a "real" Stratocaster (SC).Now beeing old(elder 53) and rarely giggin any more I dont need a pickguard-->so i looked long for a Deluxe-->finally showed up-->once arrive I will be (partially*) more happy

*
such arguments like you have 7 guitars allready-->when do you play them ??
You are not Eric Clapton, how many can you play a time?
Honey its the tone that matters!-->For me sound all the same and you missed the note in the mid of the solo

So, that pic is from BEFORE the adjustment, right? That trem is about to dig-in to that beautiful top...
