how to use the micro tilt ?

Hi everyone !!

I´m from Brazil, and a new proudly owner of a 1994 Legacy guitar ( bought used, but is a old new stock !!!! ) ...Well, I´m triyng to low the action of the strings, and I need a help on the micro tilt ajustments ... I´m not sure, and that´s why I´m writing here, about what really do the micro tilt ajustment.. Is it for the neck angle ? How should I proceed ?? Can I set it to a almost "Gibson type" of angle ??
