I've never been a fan of the volume so close to the pickup and strings. I've also never been a fan of blade switches. I have some leftover pickguard material, and I'm thinking about using stacked pots for the treb/bass sweep, and using the existing treb sweep position for the volume.

Mine's fairly heavy as well, but resonant and with good sustain.I've never been a fan of the volume so close to the pickup and strings. I've also never been a fan of blade switches. The main issue I see is that the bass and treble pot are different values, so it might be a little hard to find a a dual concentric (stacked) pot that has the right values.
And Welcome!
