Pickup height for Legacy Special (rail pickups)

Hey there! I just bought a Legacy Special and here's what I've been doing for the pickup height.
First of all, it's really a matter of taste. There's not real wrong way to do it. As long as the strings aren't touching the pickups when you palm mute something while playing, I'd say the rest is whatever you like. However...
My general guide is this...it all depends on your playing style and how much output you want. The blades in the Leg Spec are pretty high output...not as high as others on the market, but high IMO. So if I'm using my Egnater Renegade (which I tend to keep the gain somewhat low on), I keep them a little higher than if I'm using the guitar through my POD. With the POD, since it's all digital, having the PU's too high tends to just be too much and I have to roll of on my volume more.
