NOISES...WHAT MIGHT BE CAUSING THEM?
Hello-
I have a '97 USA Legacy. When I bend the G string, in particular, or the B, it seems very stiff, and makes a weird noise like there is a lot of tension....Also, when I use the trem, it is very noisy. Any advice? Should I try some lubrication? I already had the guitar setup by a tech, but its still doing it.....
Thanks
M

My first guess would be binding at the nut. Yes try a little lubrication. Also, if the nut slot is cut too high, that can make strings feel stiff.

Anything you recommend? Graphite? Nut sauce?
