2014 G&L ASAT Classic S for sale. This guitar is in near-mint condition; if there are any flaws, they can't be seen with the naked eye.
Here's the specs:
Swamp Ash body
Cherryburst finish
Hard Rock Maple neck and fretboard - 9.5" radius
Gun-oil Tint and Satin finish on the neck
White Pearloid pickguard
3 G&L MFD pickups
5-way pickup selector
Volume and Tone controls
The neck is a "medium C" profile; not super-thin and not a baseball bat. I've been told it's close to a 1950s Tele.
What makes this guitar really special is the modifications to the wiring. I've had a S-! switch installed to replace the pull-up knob originally supplied and the wiring changed to the following [brackets indicate original wiring]. [Position 1 is closest to the bridge.]
S-! switch up [same as original - like a Strat]:
1. Bridge
2. Bridge + middle (Parallel)
3. Middle
4. Middle + Neck (Parallel)
5. Neck
S-1 switch down:
1. Bridge + Middle (Series) [B+N parallel]
2. Bridge + Neck (Parallel) [All 3 parallel]
3. Bridge + Neck (Series) [Middle]
4. All 3 pickups (Parallel) [All 3 parallel]
5. Middle + Neck (Series) [B+N parallel]
As you can see, the wiring modification adds "humbucker" capabilities that add tremendous flexibility to your available tonal palette.
The MFD pickups are about 75% Tele and 25% Strat and will give you roughly 90% of the "bite' of a Tele.
Comes with a G&L hard-shell case.
