You may have a look at this and the next photo in my gallery (click at the photo there until you get the high resolution one):
http://i.wuell.net/gallery/view_photo.p ... d=IMG_4551The pots are CTS, 250 kOhm with solid shafts, see here:
http://www.glguitars.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=20I don't know if the brown capacitor on the tone control was factory or not. I removed it anyhow.
The pots were very noisy, but I didn't want to replace them. In fact I didn't have spare ones like that. So I soldered them out and disassembled them. The carbon layer was good, so I cleaned everything, and lubricated with vaseline. Put it together and they are as new since than.
You can omit the step with the vaseline, if that was good, I'll see in future, but some people are doing this. It should keep dust away from the layer, but you have to be very quick when soldering it in again, as hot vaseline gets fluid. So next time I maybe will try that without soldering the pot out.
On this picture you can see how it looks now:
http://i.wuell.net/gallery/view_photo.p ... d=IMG_4656Clean, except for the old solder mess on the volume pot, but for the vaseline inside, and for my weak 25W soldering iron, I couldn't remove, but that's cosemetic anyhow.
