1985 Leo Fender Superhawk prototype...

From posts by Dave McLaren in the CLF Research facebook page (1/4-1/5/2024):

In March last year I posted about a 1985 Leo Fender Superhawk prototype that got a quickie routing job to fit
Leo’s prototype “ambidextrous” Dual Fulcrum vibrato with fine tuners. Well, today James G&L Custom Shop found a
correct original production bridge in a random old bin. I lined up the bridge and I can see that the hack routing job
missed the mark, so that’s probably why it never got built; it was easier or cleaner to just make another body.
However, looks like I can make it work with a router or Dremel so I can get this bridge installed and bring this prototype to life.

Just needed a quick hit with a router and a Dremel on the ends to fit the “ambidextrous” Dual Fulcrum vibrato with fine tuners.
There’s some visible gap where the 1985 routing job was done but it’s all part of the story. The mission was aborted 39 years ago but
now this Leo Fender Superhawk prototype will fly at last.
