G&L Rampage 1985

Thu Jul 16, 2020 9:43 pm

Hi G&L People,

I recently purchased this 1985 Rampage in Australia. The last owner stored it for two years after importing it from USA. I don't know about the history before this, other than a sale on What Its Worth is shown on the web.

I'm currently have it re-fretted, the frets were pancakes and down to the last plays.

Just wondering if any of you might have information regarding how many were made before discontinuing in 1991?

Or has some one previously owned this guitar within this forum?

Serial Number: G017298

Thanks guys!

Trying to work out how to attach images.

Hello. I think I saw your post about it on a Facebook group. That guitar is in the G&L registry (is it hot pink?), although it doesn't have contact details for the prior owner (or maybe you entered it). I can't answer any of your other questions, but I'm sure there are people on here who can.

Hi there,

Yes that’s right I posted in the fb forum. Thought I might some other people on here too.

It’s Rampage red,

I didn’t post the details to registry. It’s definitely not pink, it’s worn but not hacked as per what the register says.

Thanks again.

See this post in our Knowledgebase: What are the specifications of the original G&L Rampage?

I have seen photos of this guitar and the body finish is Rampage Red. I updated the registry entry.
To post photos here, see: Tutorial: Posting photos.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Craig,

I have set up a flickr account to post and scanned with URL Void, all green. Still working out how to edit guitar or add within registry. I assume I have to register again to do that within that portion of the site.
