ASAT Reborn

After owning this guitar for almost two years I have finally got it to where it needs to be.

The guitar always sounded great if not a bit noisy . The push pull pot only had an effect in the middle position ( made it thin ). I was fortunate to have the original pot included when I bought the guitar. The fifth fret was raised slightly so I had it reseated along with a fret crown and polish. I also had it set up properly ( nice and low ). I love it even more now and it is much quieter now that the original tone pot is back in. I am curious though about that push/pull pot. I didn't know you could split single coil pick ups. Or did it serve some other purpose ?

Looks nice. Please post a picture of the whole guitar. I would love to see it!

The push pull pot probably switched the phase of one of the pickups, so that when they were combined in the middle position, they would be out of phase, resulting in the thin sound.

Yes, out of phase. That was it !
