Leo's Humbucking Pickup Patent

Not sure this is the right forum but let's see.

OK, I was looking in the gallery and one of those "Random Images' that shows on the left side showed a page from a Patent application for a hum bucking pickup design that I am not familiar with. I think.
Question: Was this pickup design ever used on a G&L guitar or bass? If so, what is its common name. Here is a screenshot of the first page. I don't know how to post a link to the gallery that shows the entire document, maybe someone can help with that?

Anyway, it just looks a bit different yet I wonder if it's not a common pickup.

It looks like it may have been part of the dummy coil concept that was used
on the INNOVATOR

Took me a while to pickup on the hidden coils under the pickguard. Sure look interesting. Wish there were some good audio clips of this unique guitar.

I have a PRS bass with a dummy coil in the back. It is dead quiet.

Leo also patented items that never went anywhere. He did it to play it safe. Check out the flat truss rod design he came up with in the 70's.
