The story is right in the ad, pretty cool, but really way too much money.

A cool instrument, I'm curious how low the seller would go.
I forget how much they wanted last time around (2011?).
Here's a full frontal from that auction-

I wonder if the neck switch is 2 way or 3 way (option of having both ) .

I remember last time it came up, I think there's an extra zero on the price but I could be wrong.

I've never understood the reasoning behind these guitar-and-bass-in-one things - with only one output  Anyone care to have a go?

Is your question about fidelity, i.e. having a bass amp for the bass and a guitar amp for the guitar ?
Separate outputs seems almost a must for good sound.
I have a doubleneck bass/guitar and there was a volume drop on each instrument when combined. I've since rewired it to get full punch from both sides...dedicated outputs with separate grounds.
So I gotta agree...one output ain't enough.

Being made for a session player, I guess the single output could have worked for going straight to the board. For anything else, I agree that two jacks would be better. I could see running it with an amp that sounds good with bass or guitar (my old Bassman Ten comes to mind), and just turning off any guitar effects when you go with the bass half, or using an A/B box for an amp selector.

I do like the flame in the body!

I wonder if he will sell me just the guitar part. Just wondering.
