Please help! 1987 g&l Invader replacement truss rod nut.

I'm searching for a replacement or something that's equivalent truss rod nut for my '87 invader. It stripped on me trying to achieve a straight neck. I was able to remove it thankfully and I need a replacement. Any help? I love the guitar and have been lurking on here for a while. Will a fender nut work? There is several different ones from fender.
