Information needed on a beautiful S-500 that I aquired!

Hello all,

I joined this forum for the sole purpose of finding out some information about my guitar. I bought it used at a Guitar Center and cannot even find any pictures of the exact instrument anywhere. It is an S-500 in tobacco sunburst but it has a few unique characteristics. It looks like this guitar http://www.greatguitarsanddrums.com/gui ... cts_id=480 however, it doesn't have a whammy bar tailpiece, the body and fretboard have bindings, the neck is solid birdseye maple, and the back of the body is totally solid, unlike the usual strat-like back which has a plastic cover. The serial number is CLF 46841. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

you can order binding on the neck and body , it sounds like you have a saddle lock bridge too hence the no back cover .... sounds like a sweet guitar !! ... got any pictures to share ?

your guitar has some nice options on it !! someone ordered the saddle lock and binding specifically , thats a great bridge and a G & L exclusive , it has a side screw to "lock" the sadles from moving !!

the saddle lock bridge looks like this and has no cover pate on the back
