Here's the answer:

Yes, they CAN be split!

The TB-2A is used in the neck & middle positions.
The red wire is hot (+)
The black is ground (-)
The blue is your coil tap.

The TWB-2 is used in the bridge position.
The red wire is hot (+)
The black is ground (-)
And the white is your coil tap.

BTW, the Legacy Special and the Invader models use these pickups and
none of these guitars use the coil tap function.
The pickups were voiced to sound like a single coil sans the hum, so splitting
them kinda negates the purpose of their design. The G&L craftpeople clip the
white and blue wires to keep the spaghetti to a minimum.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much! Well, if they were designed to sound like single coils I think I may just forget about tapping! Who knows though...

EDIT: Wait, are the pickups in the Tribute Legacy HB the same as the ones in the USA invader?

Nope, they are not the same pickups.

We do have a wiring diagram in the Gallery for the Tribute Legacy HB which shows the pickup wiring.

Hope this helps.
