Hi Craig,

When exactly did G&L start using the Plek?

Thanks.

Bill

P.S. Isn't Steve Grom great in these movies?!

See this post by Tim Buffalo Bros. The change in late 2006 coincides with the time the Bi-Cut neck was replaced with the new neck with non-compression truss rod.

Thanks for putting this up Craig! My hope is that a lot of people will see this; Especially those who are considering buying a new G&L for the first time.

I first learned of the Plek around 2000 - 2001, since a lot of Steinberger players at that time were opting to have a Plek fret leveling done rather than have their local guitar techs do the leveling job.

It's a remarkable machine, one that makes me feel a bit better about the Technological/Computer age we're in which is often as much a curse as it is a blessing.
