hey all! been a while since i’ve been around lol. So I’ve got a Rampage tribute from like 2013 or so, and it’s a good guitar but the Kahler in it sort of sucks. I spoke to G&L about this directly back when I got it, because I had this whole problem where the strings gouged out the metal and caused sharp edges…G&L told me they would send me a replacement cam, but I never got anything. Either way, i don’t play this guitar enough because the Kahler just isn’t good and doesn’t like to stay in tune. At this point, it probably makes sense to swap it out with a better Kahler trem. Can you direct replace with a USA made Kahler, and is it worth it? The guitar plays nice, i like it better than my Superhawk (which i’m selling) i just don’t use it bc of the tuning issues. I have a floyd rose jackson that stays in tune no matter what I do, but this thing just doesn’t. Any thoughts?
