info on my asat I cant register it

Here is what I got, its the first guitar I ever bought brand new, its a 1988 asat it was sold to me as candy red, it ain't, I was looking at the gallery and found its brother (owned by jeff byrd) it is a wine red, I went to the registration page and it would not accept the serial number (g023000) why? what gives ? any significance. What would the value on this guitar be?

Try putting it in as G and then zero as in the number and not the letter.
The only letter in the serial number will be the G
