S-500 odd vibrato arm?

Hi,

I just bought a used S-500 (in seriously mint condition, it's rather odd). It's supposed to be pre-2005, the store did not have any info about the year. It did not have the vibrato arm, but I ordered the vintage one from the store: http://g-l-online-store.myshopify.com/c ... m-pre-2005
It fits the hole, but it just.. hangs. In all the guitars I had, the vibrato arm stays how you put it, this one not, I have to reach for it everytime I use it. Is this normal? Shouldn't it be locked somehow?
BTW, this is the tickest vibrato arm I have ever seen :)

You need to adjust the trem arm allen set screw on the side of the trem arm socket. See: tremelo bar swinging like a go-go girl.

If the allen set screw (and nylon bushing) are not there, you can get replacements, see: G&L Dual Fulcrum vibrato arm socket.

Hope this helps.

Embarassing for me :D
Sounds like a goo system, I just gotta check if I still have the parts then.

Thanks!!
