Vibrato arm for S-500?

Thu Oct 23, 2014 2:47 pm

Hi,

I just bought a G&L S500 with serial number CLF11444.
Unfortunately it has no vibrato bar. If I buy the one from the link below would it be a perfect match? I have no idea in which year is it made... So I do not know if it's a vintage or a current model.

Theoretically this is how the guitar looks like (have not receive it yet):

Your S-500 is pre-2005, so you will want to get the Vibrato Arm - G&L Dual Fulcrum (early). BTW, see this post in the Knowledgebase: How do I determine an instrument's age?, for determining
approximate build year.

Thanks man! I'll order it right away (if for some reason does not fit, hopefully I can return it and get the other one).
BTW, I'm new with G&L, I just tested one out of luck and it was love at first sight. How are the S-500 models before 2005 compared to the new ones? Same pickups? Quality built? I bought it online, a bit risky...
