G&L USA ASAT Junior II in swamp ash

I recently purchased an ASAT Junior II. The guitar is awesome. The build specifications say the following:

Model: ASAT Junior II
Serial Number: CLF068929
Body Wood: Swamp Ash
Body Finish: Autumn Burst
Neck Wood: Hard-rock Maple with Pau Ferro fingerboard

I'm trying to figure out where this guitar came from. Is it a prototype? Can these be special ordered?

Could be a prototype even though it is not mentioned on the Prototype page on the G&L website.

I sent your post to Dave McLaren at G&L. Here's his reply:

Hi Craig,

I don’t know how this came about. The guitar must have come first, then made available to the dealer.
I see it was completed on 1/31/14 and shipped to Stringbean Music in Bismark, ND on 2/6/14.

Since Dave is not calling this a prototype, please use the "One-Off" model selection when you register this one in our G&L Registry.
