Thanks!

About the GL bass "tribute series", is there any model year or factory (Korea or Indonesia) that are more desirable ? Is there any obvious variations in the quality of the instruments ?

As far as I can tell, all the G&L Tribute Series models are considered a very high quality import line.

Also, see these posts:

What is the new Tribute series which G&L announced in 2003?
Why the change in manufacturing location for the Tributes?
Tribute series receiving a price cut / nixing gig bag?

I have 5 different Tributes and the model I play the most is an Indonesian made G&L. I own 2 from Korea that are great, but I find the Indonesian models to be of equal quality, just missing the gig bag these days. One did require more fret work on the Indonesian models though. I have one that I can almost lay the strings down on the frets without any buzz, has the best finish, and it did not come from Korea.
