What does "special production run" mean?

This question was posted by a visitor on G&L's Facebook page:

What does "special production run" mean? Is it different from your typical orders?

Here is the answer posted by G&L:
G&L Musical Instruments A special production run has fixed specifications, but something special not normally available.
And another post by G&L:
G&L Musical Instruments The special production run models are not on our website. The quantities are too small, and they're hardly planned.
We get together casually and decide on a color and what models to apply it on, then start cutting wood.
